December brought about some interesting developments for Michael Holden Chartered Surveyors. In December we implemented CCTV Drainage inspections as a new element to our Building Survey. With the help of Pipescan (NADC Specialists) and their equipment (see image below) we were able to investigate a properties drainage network as part of a forensic report. This detailed aspect of the survey can prove crucial in terms of uncovering hidden defects related to the drainage network i.e. blockages and damage.
Another interesting development for the practice that came to the fore in December is that of becoming members of the ISVA (Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association). This is a “National Network of like-minded professional surveyors and valuers with considerable experience and skill committed to providing a service of quality and putting the client first” (ISVA, 2017). See ISVA for more information.
To conclude, 2017 has proved to be a successful year for our practice, we have been fortunate to recieve some very interesting instructions and would like to thank our clients for their support and wish everyone a Happy New Year as we look forward to a prosperus 2018!
