January has proved to be another busy and productive month here at Michael Holden Chartered Surveyors! In what is usually renowned a ‘slow’ month for the surveying industry, it has been quite the opposite here. We have had a very busy start to the year and are extremely grateful for the many new instructions we have received over the course of January.
One major development for the practice that came to the fore in January is that of the result of our Lancashire County Council tender bid to carry out residential valuations across the red rose county. We are proud to announce that we were successful in our bid for the commission and will now begin to work with our local authority from our Blackburn Office.
January also saw our team gain a new member and we are delighted to announce that we are now working with Leigh Benton Dip Surv MRICS as a consultant. Leigh is a rating and commercial valuation expert having spent many years with the VOA. His expertise spans 29 years working with rating appeals and includes a detailed knowledge of plant and machinery and car showroom, education, large industrial and also retail developments. Together with Kevin Aspin MRICS (who we are working cooperatively with), Leigh will bring significant expertise to our Lancashire and Cumbria Offices from his base in Stalybridge. Welcome Leigh!
Finally, January proved to be the month of the dog here at Michael Holden Chartered Surveyors! Our surveyors have had numerous encounters with our canine friends over the course of the month whilst carrying out survey inspections and here are some images of our new friends for you to enjoy…
