Michael Holden Chartered Surveyors and Chartered Building Engineers is a bespoke practice regulated by the RICS, the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and containing RICS registered Valuers. We have primary offices in Blackburn and in Kendal where we are able to cover most of historical Lancashire and South Lakeland, we also have a presence in Glossop and in London.
Our expert team have particular interests in residential and commercial building surveys, forensic/ damp and timber inspections, RICS homebuyer reports and SAVA home condition reports and also CPO, commercial valuations, dilapidations, taxation, rent reviews and rating work.
Our senior Chartered Surveyors have extensive experience in their subject fields and have worked on national projects such as
RICS Home Survey roadshows, web classes, RICS Residential Building Survey practice note, RICS Residential Survey Guidance note (product development group), SAVA open days and web classes and education / professional training in commercial valuations and landlord and tenant. We also have organised and chaired CPD events in Cumbria and RICS regional CPO events in Warrington and are due to Chair further events in Manchester and the lake District. Our Managing Director is an RICS APC Chair and Assessor and SAVA mentor and was the technical author for the RICS practice note on Residential Building Surveys and member of the product development group for the recently published guidance note on residential surveys. Our colleagues are well respected senior professionals and also work with the RICS on projects allied to their expertise.
